Cohort 2 Is Finally Home!

It’s been a month plus of caller ID showing us who was calling and stomach sinking about what news they’d have. News of clutches not hatching was the theme of each call....but through many reiterations of chick availability with the local feed shop our 6 chickies are finally home chirping away in their warm brooder!

FINALLY.  

Our final 6 mix may not quite be what we had planned on with hatch dates scattered and at least 1 breed missing from the wish list, but who can resist adorably fuzzy chicks? This Chickie Momma sure cant! Their Chickie Daddy is a sucker for them too working with them to establish their March Madness Bracket prior to the tournament start. 

We can’t wait to introduce our 🌸From the Garden🌸 cohort to you as we embark on round two of raising chicks. We’re a tad smarter about the process than the last go around, but still in hyper parenting mode with these little peeps. 

Cameras in the brooder? You bet. 

More accurate temp regulation? Yes. 

New bedding material? 100% yes! 

Photoshoot planned? Of course!
